VID on the Move....

VID on the Move with Voter Outreach, Environmental Action, Restoring Rent-Stabilized Tenants and our Club’s Flag atop Kilimangaro VID on the move in another active week for Democrats.  Members have stepped up with energetic Committee initiatives on Voter Outreach, Campaigns, Environmental Action and a very aggressive move to restore J51 tenant’s rent-stabilized status.  There is a full report from Laurie Hardjowirogo on the Voter Outreach Committee page.  Currently the focus is on 19th Congressional District (Dutchess County) where Republican, John Faso will be running for re-election.  Please note the dates on the calendar when you can assist in turning New York’s 19th Congressional District blue.   The Campaign Committee is holding its first meeting Monday, March 13th, 2017 at 6:30 PM at 26 Perry Street.  The agenda will address Candidate Nights, the first is scheduled for April 5th, 2017; Club Endorsement nights. VID Officer Elections completed on Jan. 12th In a well-attended meeting which also featured a thorough presentation on how to protect rent-stabilized tenants, VID members voted for the remaining slate of Officers and the 2017 Executive Committee.  Now, VID Officer Elections are complete. July 2016 General Membership Meeting

At the July 2016 General Membership Meeting –  Campaigning, Election Updates, NYS Clemency and Election Reform  VID General Meeting Minutes_July-2016 President Nadine Hoffmann opened the July 2016 General Membership Meeting by thanking everyone for the great job they did in petitioning.  Alison Greenberg is putting together an interesting Health Forum, rescheduled for the September meeting.  The VID put together their first official filing under the new tax rules.  Thanks to member David Saperstein, we’re up to date.  Frieda Bradlow will be home from Village Care Wednesday. Highlights Greater NYC for Change will be honoring State Senator Brad Hoylman at a free July 18 meet and greet at PS 450. Campaign buses to Pennsylvania for Hillary will begin on Saturday, September 17, and every Saturday until the election, leaving from Union Square at 8 am and returning at 9 pm.  There will be a $15 charge per person with some other […]
