After breakfast we will disburse throughout the Village and gather signatures for VID’s endorsed candidates. Saturday, May 31st 10:00 AM-12:00 Noon VID Headquarters, 26 Perry Street If you cannot join us for our petitioning party breakfast on May 31st, the VID will be open every Monday and Thursday evening from 6:00-7:30 PM and Saturdays from 11:00-1:00 through July 3rd. July 7th will be the last day to hand in petitions (the club will be open from 6:00-7:30 PM).
It is with great sadness that we shared the news of Catherine Abate’s passing. She will be truly missed. The real Catherine Abate was a friend, a colleague, and one of the most soul-full public servants that New York City has ever had. VID Endorsements for State and Judicial Candidates On Thursday, May 8th VID members gathered to hear statements from four judicial candidates and to endorse seven State candidates for the Democratic Primary ballot. Nat Johnson presided. Here are the Minutes for that meeting. UPDATE: On July 10 VID members gathered to re-consider the original vote of No Endorsement for Governor and voted to endorse Zephyr Teachout. The final results are: 1.
