VID is proud to sponsor an important panel on upcoming elections at our next VID General Membership meeting May 4: “Getting Out the Voter 2012 (NYS Legislature, Congress, President)”
Four panelists will explore upcoming campaigns, and how we get our citizens to register, and our registered voters to the ballot box.
Meeting time: Wednesday, May 4, 2011, 6:30 p.m.
Meeting location: The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center (LGBT) 208 W. 13th Street (west of 7th Ave.), Room 412. Panel begins at 7:00 p.m.
Panelists: Keith Wright, (NY County Democratic Leader and Assemblymember); Larry Norden (Democracy Program, Brennan Center);
Steve Carbo (Democracy Program, Demos); Jesse Strauss (NY Democratic Lawyers Council, Political Outreach).

Our next VID General Membership meeting is Thursday, April 14, 2011, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Marks Church, East 10th Street and 2nd Avenue in Parish Hall (after entering the main St. Marks gate, follow path on right toward the rear entry at back of the main building). We have a very exciting program with a panel discussing bicycles in New York City, called “Bikes, Bikers and Bike Lanes”. It was assembled and organized by Nadine Hoffmann. This meeting is open to non-members, so please invite your friends and get out the word.
The panel presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m. Panelists: Paul S. White, Executive Director, Transportation Alternatives; Nancy Gruskin, Founder, the Gruskin Family Foundation, and Tony Juliano, President and Chair, Greenwich Village-Chelsea Chamber of Commerce.
